I haven't heard your stuff for a while now, and I gotta say, you've improved a lot my friend! I enjoy the melodic nature of the intro quite a bit, especially how it contains the glitchy aspect that is featured in the drop. The sound design during the drop is impressive and particularly interesting. Reminds me of older Oolacile. With that being said, the arrangement during the drop sounds slightly messy and random at times. I can forgive that to an extent though considering that is standard with these types of synths. Another thing I would like to add is that the track is pretty over compressed at points. I'm glad you're getting the master loud (something I really struggle with), but I would back off on the gain just a little bit and focus on getting the mix as clean as possible. Overall, just a really well crafted tune. I'm impressed :)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback :)

This is a good start, but I feel some work needs to be done. I really like the atmosphere you set up in the beginning and the midsection with the vocal and the pads. I feel the vocal is just a tad loud compared to the rest of track, but that's not a big issue. What's confusing here is the drop. I get it's supposed to be chill, but the synth is kind of basic. I also don't hear a sub. I'd suggest having a stronger build to give the drop more impact. Pretty decent nonetheless, I'll definitely check out your other stuff.

PhorHead responds:

Thank you for the feedback

There were some really good sections in this piece like 00:00-1:10 that could have been made into full tracks, but overall it was just a messy jumble of sections that didn't fit well together with random sound effects layered over the top. I'd work on making your tracks flow better between sections and more coherent.

LMAO WHAT IS THE WAVEFORM

Holy crap, I love this. Really unique and interesting. However, there are a few thing I would like to point out. The break sections in between are slightly empty. I would have liked to see you do more with them, but it's not a big deal. My biggest problem with this is the hard electro sections at :36 and 3:21. They are very empty and don't fit at all. It would have worked better if they were in key and had more going on in the backround. They are also all over the place and aren't very fluid. Other than that, I really enjoyed this! I love the pads and arps you put in here. They are very smooth and dreamy.

now thats a review.

the bass is something i hate in this song entirely, i couldn't make any other type of bass fit honestly and i just gave up after a bit
making it even somewhat fit was annoying

i always have a problem with making more things fit in my songs, thats something i need to work on

thanks for your review my dude!

Wow, it's rare to find anything good in the most recent dubstep tracks. I really don't have many complaints and criticism about this. however, that the part at :40 where you silence everything and bring it back in with a filter seems kind of unnecessary and doesn't really fit. The synths in the drop could be slightly louder, and the drop lacks power a little bit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't even hear sub bass in the drop. Great track overall, and you just earned a fan!

DelectorMusic responds:

Thank you so much for your feedback! Ye, I don't really like the part at 1:40, but I didn't have any idea what to put here. There's actually a sub bass but I didn't add any distortion plugin. Thanks again!

Okay, this is pretty good. I enjoy the leads and arpeggios you used throughout the track; I think they are quite unique and they are combined and arranged in an interesting way. I also feel as if the drums should be louder and more powerful; it doesn't sound like they are side chained (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm not really feeling the drop though. Most of it is just the same exact synth in a similar rhythm. The synth is also a bit too loud and it drowns everything else out a little bit.

K-oztron responds:

Thanks for the feedback, I'm still new to dubstep, so the drop is not as good as I'd have liked. And yea, the kicks are sidechained.

Not bad really. The synths are okay, and the arrangement is spot on. This really does take out all of the repetitiveness out of the original drops of the song. I have to say though the mixing and mastering needs a lot of work. Some basses are way louder than others, and in some parts everything is completely drowned out. Other than that though, this is pretty decent.

DirtyPawsOfficial responds:

I'm glad you like it, and you're right, I need to work a lot on the mastering of my tracks, so far I'm starting in the world of musical production, but I'm already informing myself about this mastering theme, and I'll put it into practice in future Projects, thanks for the review, and I'm sorry to use google translator, but unfortunately I do not speak English. ;p

I hear a great intro and a solid drop, but they don't really mix. In fact, the drop synth almost sounds like it's playing a different base note. Other than that though I really don't have any problems. This is a lot nicer than some of the other riddim submissions out there.

Awze responds:

Hm, I see what you're talking about. I'm still fairly new to producing and only around a month ago I fully got a grasp on mixing properly but still don't know much about scales but I'm trying at least and will sooner or later obtain a full grasp on it
